02 April- 2018: Acclimatization Day At Dingboche

Monday the 2nd of April.
Well, when Ghanshyam ‘Shyam’ told us yesterday that there would be no walking today, THAT turned out to be an April fool’s day joke!

We did have a great acclimatization hike into the hills above Dingboche. We reached a height of 4900 meters or roughly the height of our next target, Lobeche. We got some great pictures of Mera peak, Lotse, and Amadablam.
It always seems that the walk down is much easier.

Nagakarsang Hike

We spend the rest of our day hanging out in the common room, playing games and reflecting. One more night here and then we’ve got ‘the hard part’.
