28 March 2018: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding

The big day! We were up early and eager to go. The whole process to Lukla was smooth (with some delays that are to be expected).

Ready to Fly Lukla

In Lukla we had coffee or tea and snacks. And the men changed into their kilts. Many heads were turned. This is the warmest leg of our trek and it went well and reasonably quickly. We had extra energy to laugh and to pose for pictures.

Already we are amazed by the beauty of the land. The tea house that we stay in is quite new and comfortable. Most of us enjoy an extra walk about Phakding before dinner.
