Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar
After waking up at leisure (as said by Mr.Kundu) which happened to be as early as 5:10am for me, we stood in line behind the German trekkers. Our rest day was quite full with us walking upto the Sagarmatha police headquarters and the Everest museum. At this point we were very lucky to see the Everest Peak and the Lhotse peak between beautiful fluffy white clouds. To help us acclimatize Samir took the fit Bishop’s boys including the Admiral and Rajiv uncle as well as Capt Swaminathan and Mridula to Syangbouche airstrip at an amazing height of 3800 mts, just above Namche .
The most amazing part of the day for me was the view of watching the clouds floating under our dining room while we sipped on some wonderful hot lemon, engaging in a game of bluff with the ‘Headmaster’; a privilege only a select few can enjoy. Our day is now ending with a game of dumb- Sharads after all the ladies and gentlemen are recovering from hurt wallets after their shopping sprees.

We say Goodnight with a message from the Admiral that we are all intact and he is confident of our fitness. In addition Sam promises us a wonderful plate of steaming momos at our next destination, Tengbuche Monastery.
