28th April, 2014 : – FIRST HAND REPORT BY SHANTANU KUNDU
We started the day at 6:30am and had breakfast soon after. The food though very simple, was a welcome sight to 15 hungry people. Leaving Phakding at around 7:30am, everyone was cheerful…..at the beginning. As the day progressed it was an uphill climb non-stop, and most of us had to use every ounce of energy we had left in us to reach Naamche Bazaar. The sudden changes in temperature, the high cable suspension bridges and the breathtaking sights around every corner, left everyone exhausted, though we had the time of our lives. After warming up in the dining room, we tucked in to a hot dinner and Sam announced that the next morning would involve waking up at leisure. With this great news everyone could not wait to go to sleep!
