The day started at around 6:30am for us. The weather in the morning was quite clear and pleasant. The breakfast was quite appetizing. We were at a height of 4400m at a place called Dingbouche. We had an acclimatization walk that started at around 9:15am from a height 4400m to 4735m. The walk started with a good clear weather. The walk took us half the way towards the Kongma – La Pass. On the way we heard the calls of the Tibetean snow cock, although we couldn’t see it. The weather began to change halfway into the trek and it began to snow lightly. The clouds began covering the hills. On the way I noticed markers called Cairns that stick out of the snow when the path is covered with snow, so as to direct trekkers like us, towards the right path thereby assuring us of the fact that we are walking on solid ground below us. The way down the hill was great as it was not as tiring as the way up. On the way up I met a couple of foreigners, who were quite friendly. The way down the weather became a bit subdued, until it finally died away. At the end of the day I along with a friend of mine went and had a couple of bakery products (A Luxury in These parts I suppose).Overall the day was brilliant.
