Our First Snowfall-The trek up to Dingbouche.
Tengboche Monastery
We left Tengbouche Monastery under a beautiful sunlit sky with Everest and Lhotse towering over us. Amadablam was our constant companion during the trek as we descended through a lush rhododendron forest, trekking through the valley. We stopped at Pangbouche for tea where we saw pictures taken by the owner of Yeti footprints in the snow. After a nice break we continued out trek to Shomare for lunch, where Sam warned us that we could expect some Snow fall. Sure enough, as we started walking towards Dingbouche, the wind picked up and soon the ground was covered with snow. Though I have experienced snow earlier, it was nothing compared to this experience as I felt that I had earned it. We had tremendous fun walking in the snow and arrived in Dingbouche, cold but happy.
