Mt. Amadablam 6,858 m
Sunday the 1st April. Easter. We leave Deboche fresh and strong. Our guides have to remind us that “slow and steady wins the race”. They keep us from burning out to soon. The trail continues to be breathtakingly beautiful. (That’s the reason I’m breathing so hard. Honest.) While the trail is still up and down, we are making much more climb as we go. We have a solid, traditional Nepali lunch in Somare.
Dingboche 4,410 m
The walk to Dingboche is blessedly short but is accompanied by more cold and strong winds. We are delighted to take tea at the Everest resort and spend some time relaxing. The group calls for early dinner and early bed.
No napping during the day!
