In a cozy atmosphere of ‘The White Yak’ at Pheriche, I am narrating the experience on how we all went down to 900 meters (from 5100 meters to 4200 meters). Last day experience of EBC was wonderful. Some of us still had the courage to go up to the top of Kala Patthar in the morning at 4 AM. It was incredibly windy and the way to Kala Patthar is very steep. Still a few of us went to capture the ‘sunrise view’ from Mt. Everest. It was just AWESOME.

At 8:30 AM in morning we all started to descend from Gorak Shep. The path is very steep. We wondered how we had managed to climb all this way while enroute to Everest Base Camp. Today it was windy and the sun was directly overhead. Since the day was not cloudy, we saw snow capped mountains and awesome view of different valleys. We reached Tukhla at 12:30 PM approximately where we had lunch in a resort aptly named ‘Thukla-Dukla’ . We rested for approx 30 min after lunch, before we started descending towards Pheriche and this route was new to us. Here we saw cute small yaks and their farms in our way. We reached Pheriche at 4:30 PM approx & with this ends another fantastic day in our Everest Base Camp experience.  J
