Final day for Rafting!!

Our final day of rafting is about to start and we are navigating Class 4 and 5 rapids today.   Overall height of the river is down with such a late snow melt  so these descriptions are far less intimidating than originally suggested.   We start further up on the river. The same boat team as yesterday is maintained and we are in sync with the instructions screamed out by our skipper so all is well.  Weather again is fantastic.  It turns out to be a full day on the water.  Departing from Sukute Beach at 4:30pm we arrive back into the city by  7pm.   Like an unexpected treat, who should board the bus in main street Thamel, but none other that Dinesh, who escorts us off this transport and safely through the back alleys on the way to dinner at Rum Doodle , the well known restaurant from the book of the same name.

It is our farewell dinner.  Tendi our guide meets us also and we have a delicious meal.  I think that both Dinesh and he have been surprised by our hiking highlights/ dare I say successes!  Though their company is new, they should feel tremendously proud of the superb job that they have done for us as first clients.  Returning to the hotel for a final night’s sleep before departing for Hong Kong tomorrow.
